There are two schools on site at the farm; these are Emdin Primary School and Makongi Boys High School. These Schools were initially established for the purpose of assisting the children of the farm workers education by the Chesire family and continues to be sponsored almost solely by the farm.
Since then, the school and now gearing to position themselves as the centers of excellence in the North Rift Region. Emdin Primary and Nursery School largely caters for the children of the farm workers and neighbours living in the immediate environs. It currently has about 600 students catered for in 14 streams. The senior school has about 250 students separated in 7 streams. The school follows the Kenya 8-4-4 curriculum.
